One more time we are hosting Hale at Belly Pepper, we will be cooking with her:

On Saturday 24 October, Hale and Esra invite you to an evening that plays with the things we are taught to find appealing and the things we instinctively turn away from. There will be pretty things, the unapologetically ugly and the things that are simply too tasty to care. Some of the best things on a Turkish table were never designed for a beauty contest anyway.

Like ciğer sarma, caul fat wrapped around spiced rice and liver or good old Turkish kuru fasulye, a humble white bean stew, except this comes with confit duck leg. And then because apparently it has to end both pretty and tasty, Şöbiyet to finish.

One night, one dinner, no beauty standards required. Tickets are limited, come hungry.

Menu

Cheese platter-home made quince membrillo

Sauteed leeks with freekeh, crispy peppers from Kale
